Irene Campany came to North America in 1967. A short time after she owned and operated her own Rest Home for the elderly in St. Catharines, ON. She has successfully sold Life Insurance Products as a career agent with Canada Life in the Niagara Peninsula and for Sun Life in Vancouver, BC. She accepted a position as the Western Canada Director for Hooper Holmes in B.C. Irene began her own paramedical company, called IMS Insurance Medical Services, in 1987 which became the largest paramedical company in BC. In 1992, Medisys bought IMS to add to their holdings. In 2004, Irene achieved her Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designation. In 2004 she started another company called Cameo Services Inc., to provide staffing and management services to the ‘Assisted Living Home’ industry. Although her business life is very active, she always has time to do volunteer work. Ms. Campany was the first woman member of the Arbutus Rotary Club, and 4th woman involved with the Rotary in Canada. Her work with Rotary was internationally recognized as she received a Paul Harris Fellow award for her work as a Rotarian in Zimbabwe. This award is given to people who work above and beyond the call. Irene and her husband Michael are Elders in their church and serve wherever needed. She also spends time in the Chapel at Vancouver International Airport, where she looks after travelers in need, staff in need, refugees and returning residents who have been deported from other countries. This provides the opportunity to council people who ask for it. Irene and her husband lead very active outdoor lives where they spend time traveling, hiking, skiing, biking, boating, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and exercising. Ask Irene a question e-mail Irene
