Roy M. Atkinson, CLU, CEB,
EPC
Roy has spent 35 years in the
insurance industry and has steadily adapted to meet the always
changing prevailing insurance culture.
He started as an agent in a
field office in Oshawa and 4 year’s later entered management. He
spent a total of 12 years in field management and along the
attained his CLU designation, and a designation in Pension and
Group benefits. Roy teaches licensing courses and motivational
courses. In 1993 he started to write training material for Level
I and in 1995, completed a text for Level II. During this time
he taught from Halifax to Vancouver and in many of the various
centers in between.
In November of 2000 he was
invited to join a consortium of Colleges of Ontario headed
Seneca College and spent two years developing the LLQP which
will be taught in selected Colleges all across Canada.
Today he is a Professor,
teaching Insurance in degree-granting programs and is the
Insurance coordinator for Seneca’s Insurance programs.
